Bah! You guys, I'm so sorry to keep you waiting for this week's Writer's Prompt! It has been washi madness here, ever since our latest shipment of Simply Gilded came in.
But we can't forget the important things: Writing. This week, (on Friday when I usually put up our new Writer's Prompt, in fact) I was speaking at the University of South Dakota about business and about the importance of leaving a legacy with our words. I was asked the question, "What advice would you have for fellow writers?" I answered, "Write every single day. Make it a goal to not leave one day with a "zero word count."
So, let's write with what's left of the weekend, shall we? Let's be sure we don't exit this weekend as a "zero word count" weekend. Your weekly Writer's Prompt is:
"I feel most like my authentic self when I'm . . ."
Author Stephen King says, "I write when I don't know what I think." I love those words because it gives us permission to play around on the page, and to sort out what we think.
What do you think? When do you feel most like your authentic self? I look forward to seeing what we all come up with. Remember, you can write in a notebook, on a computer, in the comments on our blog, or on a fast-food napkin. Just. Write. See ya next week.
